Effective as of June 01, 2026
This Cookie Policy (“Policy”) is prepared by SIA “Hyper Reality”, registered in the Register of Legal Entities of the Republic of Latvia under Registration Number 40203309134, legal address: Dzirnavu street 41-11, Riga, LV-1010, Latvia (“HyperVR Games”, “we”, “us”), to provide clear information on how we use cookies and other similar technologies and to ensure transparent processing of your personal data on the website https://hypervr.games/ and other related pages, including any domains and subdomains operated by us (“Website”).
We present this Policy in a Q&A form to provide you with clear and accessible answers to questions regarding how we collect, use, manage and process cookies and other similar technologies on the Website. Our intention is to enhance your understanding of our practices in respect to your personal data and ensure that you are fully informed about the technologies we use to improve your experience on the Website.
For clarity, this Policy is primarily about our Website and other web pages operated by us. SIA “Hyper Reality” is the owner of the HyperVR Games brand. HyperVR Games is both a VR game publisher and a VR game development studio. We may develop, publish, co-publish and/or help publish VR games and related online services on platforms such as Meta Quest, Steam, PlayStation, PICO, Apple Vision Pro and other VR/MR/AR platforms or app stores.
Where we decide the purposes and means of cookies or similar technologies, this Policy, our Privacy Policy, app store disclosures and/or in-app notices and settings apply. Where another party decides the purposes and means of processing, that party’s privacy or cookie notice and controls apply.
For game-related technologies, SIA “Hyper Reality” / HyperVR Games may act as controller, joint controller, processor/service provider, publisher, co-publisher, developer or technology supplier depending on the game, platform and publishing arrangement. Where a third-party platform, publisher, co-publisher, partner developer, ad network, analytics provider, SDK provider or other partner decides the purposes and means of processing, the relevant third party’s privacy or cookie notice and controls apply.
Cookies are small text files that are stored in your browser by websites you visit. They allow us and third parties to store and retrieve information about your online interactions, behavioral patterns and user preferences — such as language settings, login details, location data and device identifiers. This information helps provide a smoother and more personalized browsing experience, so you do not have to re-enter the same information when you return to the Website or navigate between pages.
In addition to cookies, we may use other technologies with similar functions to store or access information on your device for the purpose of enhancing your experience on the Website or related online services. Such technologies may include, but are not limited to, HTML5 local storage, local shared objects, web beacons, pixels, browser plugins, tags/scripts, device fingerprinting technologies, software development kits (SDKs), APIs, local cache, crash reporting tools, in-app analytics, attribution tools, remote configuration tools, anti-fraud or anti-abuse tools, advertising identifiers and platform identifiers where such technologies are used in a web, game or in-app context.
In VR/MR/AR/XR games and related online services, similar technologies may include VR platform SDKs, headset or platform identifiers, entitlement checks, cloud saves, multiplayer or social tools, voice/chat tools, controller/headset interaction telemetry, spatial data, microphone permissions, eye tracking, facial expression data and other VR/MR inputs where supported by the relevant device/platform and permitted by law.
For the purposes of this Policy, any reference to “cookies” shall also include these similar technologies, unless stated otherwise. This Policy applies equally to cookies and to similar technologies when they store information on, or access information from, your device.
The legal basis of cookie processing on the Website depends on the type of cookies used. Strictly necessary cookies are used where they are required to transmit communications over a network, provide a service you expressly requested, keep the Website secure or maintain its technical operation. To the extent strictly necessary cookies involve personal data, the legal basis is our legitimate interest in ensuring the proper functioning, security and integrity of the Website and related services.
All other cookies are processed based on your consent, which we collect via the cookie banner displayed when you first access the Website. Non-essential cookies are not intentionally placed before you give consent, except where permitted by applicable law. Your consent applies to the specific Website where it is collected and, where technically applicable, to its related domains and subdomains. You may withdraw or change your consent at any time through “Cookie Settings”; withdrawal does not affect processing that occurred before the withdrawal.
Where similar technologies are used in games or related online services and consent is required, consent may be requested through in-app notices, platform prompts, publisher or co-publisher consent tools, app store mechanisms, device settings or other legally valid mechanisms.
We do not intentionally use cookies or similar technologies to collect sensitive personal data. If a VR game, platform permission or similar technology processes sensitive personal data, precise geolocation, biometric identifiers, eye tracking, facial expression data, spatial data, microphone input, camera input or other protected data categories, we will provide additional notice and obtain consent or use another lawful basis where required by applicable law and platform rules.
We use several types of cookies and similar technologies on our Website, which can be categorized based on their origin, duration and purpose. We do not use non-essential cookie categories unless you have consented to them or unless another exception applies under applicable law.
First-party cookies are created, deployed and controlled by us as the Website operator. They enable the Website to function correctly and allow us to provide you with our services. Access to data collected through these cookies remains within our control.
Third-party cookies are set by external service providers, such as analytics, advertising or social media platforms, and may be accessible both to us and the respective third parties. Such cookies enable integrations with third-party features or services used on our Website. Some third parties may process data as our processors, while others may act as independent controllers under their own privacy policies.
In VR games, similar third-party technologies may also be provided or controlled by platforms, app stores, publisher/co-publisher partners, partner developers, analytics providers, advertising networks, attribution partners, game engine providers, voice/chat providers, anti-cheat or anti-fraud providers, or other SDK providers.
Session cookies are temporary and remain on your device only while you are actively using the Website. They are automatically deleted once you close your browser. These cookies support secure sessions and navigation between pages.
Persistent cookies remain stored on your device for a predetermined period or until you manually delete them. They enable the Website to recognize your browser upon return and remember your preferences over time, for example language settings or consent preferences.
| Category | Description | Consent Required |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly Necessary Cookies | Necessary cookies are essential for the operation of the Website and enable you to use its basic features (such as page navigation, security, consent preference storage, fraud or bot prevention, and access to secure areas). Our Website cannot function properly without these cookies. | ❌ No |
| Performance / Analytics Cookies | These cookies (such as Google Analytics cookies, if used) allow us to measure traffic, analyze user behavior, count visits and traffic sources. This helps us improve the functionality and performance of the Website. Information collected through analytics cookies is typically aggregated or pseudonymized, but it may still qualify as personal data under applicable law. These cookies are only used with your consent, unless an applicable law allows privacy-friendly analytics without consent. | ✅ Yes |
| Functional Cookies | These cookies allow the Website to remember your choices (such as language settings, region or login details) and to offer enhanced, more personalized features. They may also be used to provide services you have requested. If they are not strictly necessary, they are used only with your consent. | ✅ Yes |
| Marketing / Targeting Cookies | These cookies may be set through our Website or services by partners. They may be used to build a profile of your interests and show you relevant adverts on other websites, apps, stores or platforms, measure advertising campaign performance, limit ad frequency and support cross-context or interest-based advertising. They do not directly store your name or contact details, but they may uniquely identify your browser, device, advertising identifier or platform identifier. | ✅ Yes |
| Social Media Cookies | These cookies are activated when you use social media features on our Website — for example, when you click a “share” or “like” button, or connect your account via a social network. The respective social media platform may record that interaction and collect information from you, which may include personal data, and may act as an independent controller for its own processing. | ✅ Yes |
The types and names of cookies used on the Website may change over time as our services evolve. We periodically review and update this section to ensure accuracy and compliance. The most recent version of this Policy will always reflect the current state of cookie use.

We regularly review these periods to ensure they are limited to what is necessary for the purposes described and comply with applicable data protection laws.
VR games developed, published, co-published or operated by HyperVR Games may contain SDKs, platform services or similar technologies for game functionality, entitlement checks, in-app purchases, analytics, crash reporting, performance diagnostics, attribution, advertising, fraud prevention, anti-cheat or anti-abuse, multiplayer, cloud saves, social, voice or chat features, content delivery, remote configuration and security. These technologies may access or generate information such as device type, headset/platform type, operating system, IP address, approximate location, advertising ID or platform identifier where available, platform account ID/user ID or profile ID, app instance ID, installation attribution data, gameplay events, session information, crash/performance logs, entitlement and purchase status, controller/headset interaction telemetry and permissions-related data such as microphone, storage, spatial data, eye tracking, facial expressions or other VR/MR inputs only where supported by the relevant device/platform and required for the game, enabled by the user/platform settings or otherwise permitted by law. The exact technologies, purposes, retention periods and controls may vary by game, platform, country, age setting, device, store and publishing arrangement. Platform privacy settings, app permissions, headset settings, store privacy labels, game-specific privacy notices, publisher/co-publisher controls and third-party SDK provider policies may apply in addition to this Policy.
You have several options available to manage cookie processing:
(1) Cookie customization. You are free to customize your cookie processing preferences in two ways: (i) when you open a webpage, a cookie banner will appear, allowing you to accept, reject or adjust non-essential cookie processing settings, or (ii) you can change your cookie processing preferences at any time by clicking the “Cookie Settings” link available in the footer of the Website. Rejecting or withdrawing non-essential cookies will not prevent you from accessing core Website content, but it may affect optional features, personalization, analytics or advertising.
You can give, refuse or withdraw consent separately for each non-essential category. We keep a record of your cookie preference for accountability and to avoid asking for the same preference on every visit, unless you clear cookies, your consent expires or we materially change our cookie use.
(2) Cookie deletion. If you want to eliminate all existing cookies stored on your device, you should navigate to browser’s advanced settings menu on your device and clear your browsing history. Please note that this may remove saved preferences, stored login details, passwords and other customized settings across websites you have visited.
(3) Cookie blocking. As a rule, browsers provide an opportunity to block processing of cookies on websites. Nevertheless, blocking all cookies, especially functionally necessary cookies, may significantly impact website usability and cause certain disruptions.
(4) Device, app and advertising identifier controls. In VR games and related apps, you can also manage tracking, targeted advertising and device permissions through the privacy settings of the relevant platform or device, such as Meta Quest privacy and app permission settings, Steam, PlayStation, PICO or Apple Vision Pro privacy settings, Android-based advertising ID reset or deletion and ad personalization controls, and any in-game privacy settings or publisher/co-publisher consent tools made available for the relevant game. Depending on the headset and game, these controls may include microphone, storage, spatial data, eye tracking, facial expression, social, multiplayer or similar permissions.
Web beacons, also known as internet tags, pixel tags or clear GIFs, are small, transparent image files or snippets of code embedded in web pages to monitor behavior of the visitor of the Website and obtain clickstream data, i.e., a log of the links and other content accessed by you by clicking while browsing our Website. Web beacons do not store information on your device by themselves; instead, they enable us or authorized third parties to recognize a user via associated cookies or device identifiers.
The use of web beacons that involve personal data requires your prior consent, unless they are strictly necessary for delivering a service you requested. Similar event tags, pixels or SDK event calls in games are used only where permitted by applicable law and, where required, after valid consent has been obtained by us, the publisher, co-publisher, platform or another responsible party.
When you access or interact with our Website, game servers, VR games, platform services, multiplayer features or related online services, certain information is automatically recorded in web server logs, game server logs or platform/service logs. This may include your IP address, access time, browser type, operating system, headset/platform type, pages visited, referrer URL, device identifiers, platform user IDs, entitlement or purchase verification events, error reports, crash/performance information, security events and anti-fraud or anti-abuse signals.
These logs are created by our servers and, where applicable, by the servers of our hosting, infrastructure, platform, publisher, co-publisher or SDK providers for the purposes of system administration, ensuring network security, detecting and preventing fraud or abuse, troubleshooting and maintaining the proper functioning of our digital services. Server logs are not browser cookies and are described here for transparency. The processing of server log data is based on our legitimate interest in ensuring the security and proper functioning of our services.

Our Website is primarily intended for general, corporate, career, business and publishing-partner audiences, while some VR games developed, published or co-published by HyperVR Games may be accessed by children depending on the game, platform rating, country and user age settings. We do not knowingly use cookies or similar technologies to collect personal data from children under 13 (or under 16 where applicable) without parental consent. We do not knowingly use non-essential cookies, SDKs, advertising identifiers, platform identifiers or similar technologies for behavioral advertising to children where prohibited by applicable law, and we do not knowingly sell or share children’s personal information as those terms are defined under applicable U.S. privacy laws. Where a game is child-directed or a user is identified as a child, we and/or the relevant platform, publisher/co-publisher or partners should use only limited technologies necessary for internal operations, security, contextual advertising, age-appropriate game functionality, platform compliance or other legally permitted purposes, unless valid parental consent or another lawful basis applies.
If we become aware of unlawful collection, we will promptly delete the data or take other legally required steps. For parental inquiries or deletion requests, please contact: support@hypervr.games.
